Music fans looking to start 2022 with the sounds of the ‘70s will not want to miss the Beck Theatre’s upcoming production dubbed “Carpenters Gold: The Music of Richard and Karen Carpenter. Live music venues like clubs, pubs and theatres sometimes use local poster printing services to create attractive advertisements to encourage ticket sales.
Those attending the concert next year will get to enjoy Carpenters classics played live on stage like “We’ve Only Just Begun”, “Top of the World”, and “Please Mr. Postman”.
The show has been designed to recreate the artists at the height of their fame when they toured both in the US and internationally in the UK and Japan.
West End director and star Vikki Holland-Bowyer emulates Karen Carpenter’s iconic contralto, and also plays drums. Greg Stevenson takes on the role of Richard Carpenter, with vocals, piano playing, and light-hearted humour in keeping with the singer-songwriter’s stage presence.
Felixstowe & Woodbridge Magazine described the show as:
“An immersive and convincing Carpenters experience. . . it’s as close as you can get.”
Carpenters Gold will be on stage at the Beck Theatre on Grange Road, in Hayes on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the event are £27.50 per person with concessions available.
