Fans of the performing arts will soon get a chance to see Emilia Clarke of ‘Game of Thrones’ fame take centre stage at the Beck Theatre in Hayes for a performance of Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull’. Anton Chekhov’s tale of loneliness and love has been updated for a 21st century style retelling, from acclaimed Director Jamie Lloyd and British screenwriter and playwright Anya Reiss. The play follows Lloyd success with a five-star production of the celebrated Cyrano de Bergerac and features a talented cast that also includes Indira Varma and Sophie Wu.
The adaptation has received critical acclaim with five and four-star reviews. The Guardian described the play as “Brave, compelling and powerful” and Time Out magazine commented:

The Seagull will be performed live on stage as National Theatre Live Encore Screening at the Beck Theatre on Grange Road in Hayes on Wednesday, November 9.
