Hayes to welcome Diwali celebrations
A special music event designed to honour the Hindu Festival of Lights, Diwali, is headed for a Hayes theatre in autumn.
The Beck Theatre in Hayes is holding a special musical evening to celebrate Diwali in October. The event is called “Rhythms of Light – Live with the London Bollywood Orchestra” and invites fans of music and Bollywood alike to explore and enjoy Hindi cinema’s musical legacy and its modern era in a single show.
Organisers of annual festivities sometimes rely on professional banner printing services for colourful decorations to style up event spaces.
Combining hidden gems, 40s classics, and the latest hits, the concert features Rekha and Navin Kundra, both award-winning singers. The two vocalists are supported by an accomplished band that includes musicians sourced from London’s classical and jazz music scenes and the famous West End to recreate the “Spirit of Mumbai” on stage.
Music Director for the Diwali event is Tim Pottier. Known for his musical arrangements when the BBC Proms paid tribute to Indian playback singer, Lata Mangeshkar, he has also toured with stars like Pakistan’s Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Sonu Nigam.
Rhythms of Light – Live with the London Bollywood Orchestra will now be on stage at the Beck Theatre on Sunday, October 12. The local performing arts hub is simple to spot on Grange Road in Hayes.
