Hayes to screen murder mystery

A film based on a classic British whodunnit will be shown in Hayes this Spring.

A cinematic adaptation of Agatha Christie’s celebrated 1937 novel “Death on the Nile” will be playing at the popular Beck Theatre in Hayes. Theatre houses and local cinemas sometimes look to dedicated poster printing services to create plush advertisements showing upcoming event and movie titles to be displayed on their premises.

While this is not the first time Death on the Nile has been transformed into a film, the latest edition is the second in a continuing series by acclaimed director Kenneth Branagh, following on from the 2017 film Murder on the Orient Express. As well as performing directorial duties on the picture, Branagh takes on the key role of Belgium’s most famous consulting detective, Hercule Poirot.

The film features a script by Michael Green and a plot packed with twist and turns against a backdrop of vast deserts and the iconic pyramids of Giza. Along with Branagh, the cast is filled with famous faces including Gal Gadot. Tom Bateman, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Annette Bening, Ali Fazal and Russel Brand.

Death in the Nile will now be on screen at the Beck Theatre based on Grange Road in Hayes on Monday, May 16. Admission is priced at £7.50 per person with concessions available for £7.
