Hayes to host music workshops

A series of workshops designed to teach younger people from Hillingdon musical skills will take place over the summer in Hayes.

Designed as a half-term activity, the Global Academy in Hayes will be running a special series of learning experiences called Band Skills Workshops. The four-day event is designed for residents and school pupils from the Hillingdon area aged between 7 and 13 and will teach them new skills on drums and guitar.

Educational institutions like academies, schools and colleges that run courses often look to experienced brochure printing services to produce high-quality literature that advertises and details learning opportunities to parents and guardians.

Each day of the workshop will feature three different classes suited to various levels of skill and experience (Beginners, Improvers, and Advanced) and places cost £64 for each child to attend.

Beginner’s sessions will involve learning correct playing positions, drumbeats and chords and offer a chance to play with others as a band and are ideal for those who have never played. Those keen to join the improvers and advanced sessions should submit a video of them playing.

The Band Skills Workshop will be held at the Global Academy, Hayes from Tuesday, May 30 to Friday, June 2. All instruments and equipment required for the workshop will be provided. However, those participating are invited to bring along their own guitar if they prefer.
