Hayes to host historical comedy

A theatrical production taking a comedic look at the history of England will be arriving in Hayes this summer for some live shows.

From history buffs to fans of stage and comedy, those looking for entertainment in Hayes are in for a treat this August. Hillingdon’s celebrated playhouse The Beck Theatre has announced it will be welcoming Horrible Histories to its stage in Hayes to perform “Barmy Britain”.

A hit show from London’s West End, the production is packed with brand-new characters sourced from Britain of the past. Those attending the show can expect to encounter live incarnations of William the Conqueror, King Henry I and King Henry VII and Queen Victoria, and explore English history with all the nasty parts left in along with plenty of laughs.

Horrible Histories Barmy Britain will be performed at the Beck Theatre on Wednesday, August 9. The theatre is located on Grange Road in Hayes and there will be two shows, at 1.30pm and 4.30pm respectively.

Full price adult tickets are available at £22 per person, while those under the age of 14 enjoy a concession at £22. Family tickets for four people are also offered at a discount of £80.
