Hayes to host Anglo-American comic

A renowned British-American presenter and comedian will be taking to the stage at a local theatre in Hayes later this year.

Those looking for a laugh this in Hayes are in for a rare opportunity this September. For a single-night show, the world-famous comedian, television presenter, actress and interviewer Ruby wax will be at the Beck Theatre.

The upcoming show is entitled “I’m Not As Well As I Thought I Was” and is a companion piece to Wax’s brand-new book which is also available as an audiobook. The show depicts intimate details of her life in recent years, including her time spent taking psychiatric treatment and her personal fight against depression.

Wax is a classically trained actress, and was in the Royal Shakespeare Company for many years. She rose to fame in the UK after co-starring in the ITV situation comedy Girls on Top in 1985.

Ruby Wax will now present her new show at the Beck Theatre on Grange Road in Hayes on Friday, September 22. The performance will start at 7.30pm and end at 11.30pm. It is only suitable for attendees who are aged 18 and over, and tickets are priced at £29.50 per person.
