Ojera attended Bishop Ramsey School as a child. The institution is based in the borough of Hillingdon. She has opted to take a year out. However, she has the clear intention to commit to further study, with a postgraduate degree as the goal.

Ojera has expressed her gratitude for her prize. She thanked her lecturers and fellow students for making her achievement possible. She got her accolade at a ceremony which was attended by hundreds of people. The event took place within Rochester Cathedral, a historic structure in Kent.
