A massive housing development plan for Tamworth in Staffordshire has had some recent alterations awarded a green light. The revisions to the Dunstall Farm project’s third phase have now switched out two apartment buildings for houses instead.
This latest change will reduce the number of homes to 223 from the original 232 envisioned for the location in Phase Three.
Planners at Tamworth Borough Council granted outline planning permission to developers back in 2017 on the land off Dunstall Lane. Along with hundreds of new residences, the Plans approved also featured a new school teaching primary education, along with multiple commercial building. Existing structures on Dunstall Farm were also green-lit to be converted into leisure and retail options to serve the new community.
Developers sometimes rely on professional brochure printing services to create colourful content displaying their project designs to potential investors.
Barratt Homes West Midlands’ Mark Elliot commented on the decision:
“This reduces the overall number of units but not the number of affordable dwellings previously agreed. While the amendments proposed are fairly minor it is considered they will enhance the quality of the previously approved scheme.”
Following amendment of the scheme, the planning committee at Tamworth Borough Council voted unanimously for the Plans for the third phase to get the go ahead.
