An English pop star famed for his appearance in a hit musical movie will soon perform in Tamworth.
The one and only Chesney Hawkes will be performing live at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms in February next year. Hawkes rose to fame at the tender age of 19, after appearing in the successful film “Buddy's Song”. The signature song from the picture "The One and Only" topped the British singles chart for five weeks in a row, and hit the top 10 in the US. Fans attending the upcoming concert in Tamworth will get a chance to hear a set-list loaded with tracks that may include "I'm a Man Not a Boy", Another Fine Mess", "What's Wrong with This Picture?" and his collaboration with Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger, "Stay Away Baby Jane".
Chesney Hawkes will be live at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Thursday, February 22. The venue is sited on Corporation Street in Tamworth, and the show will kick off at 7.30pm.
