Newcastle actor to entertain Tamworth

An events venue in Tamworth is welcoming a television and film actor from Newcastle who has also enjoyed a music career for an evening filled with tales and tunes.

Residents can catch the new show featuring Jimmy Nail on stage this year. The multi-talented performer is an acclaimed writer, musician, singer and actor and is bringing his event called Stories and Songs to town for two nights in autumn.

Representatives of artists putting on intimate shows for the public featuring personal retellings and musical performances often order materials from dedicated poster printing services to help increase attendance.

A Newcastle icon, Nail’s new show will see him reflect on his career, which has spanned over seven decades. Renowned for his appearance as character Leonard “Oz” Osbourne in the hit TV series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and for playing a detective sergeant in the titular role of Spender, he later released the album and single Crocodile Shoes, which led to multiple platinum records. His film credits include appearances in Still Crazy and Evita.

Along with sharing his experiences, Nail will play tracks from his back catalogue that may include Love Don’t Live Here Anymore, Big River and Cowboy Dreams.

Jimmy Nail - Stories and Songs will now be on stage at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Saturday, October 17 at 7:30 pm. The venue is easy to locate based on Corporation Street in Tamworth.
