Stockport to screen acclaimed film

A comedy drama that won multiple awards is being shown in Stockport this spring.

Cinephiles in Stockport looking for an experience can catch “The Grand Budapest Hotel” on the big screen. The respected film from writer and director Wes Anderson is being shown in town and a limited number of tickets are available to book.

Cinema and theatre managers sometimes order branded signage from banner printing services that feature company emblems and display essential information like show times and pricing.

The 2014 film combines comedy and drama to tell the tale of a fictional hotel concierge called Monsieur Gustave H and his many adventures. While Ralph Fiennes plays the main character of the story, he is joined by an impressive ensemble of A-List acting talent including Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Saoirse Ronan.

Upon release, the film enjoyed positive reviews and became its creator’s highest grossing title to date. It had nine Academy Award nominations including Best Picture and went on to win four, and is regarded by many critics as one of the best films of the 21st century.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is rated 15 and will be screened at the Stockport Plaza on Thursday, April 30. The film will begin at 7.30 pm and the plaza is situated in Mersey Square, Stockport.
