American alt-rock musician has Camden on his schedule

The American singer and songwriter Michael Marcagi is currently on tour, and is due to play a gig in Camden towards the end of February.

Marcagi comes from Cincinnati in Ohio, and is widely recognised as the frontman of the alternative rock band The Heavy Hours. His fanbase has been built up on emotional songwriting, much of it inspired by the Midwest. It incorporates an American folk-rock vibe, tinged with a modern twist.

Marcagi’s breakthrough moment was down to the hit Scared to Start, and he consolidated this success when his much acclaimed first EP American Romance came out. According to critics, the record delivers strong and sincere storytelling.

A second EP, Midwest Kid, was released last April. He also co-wrote several tracks with Wesley Schultz of the Lumineers and Dan Wilson, previously with Semisonic. Besides the EPs, Marcagi has recently produced other popular songs such as Good Enough and Keep Me Honest.

The support on this occasion is to be provided by country music artist Evan Honer.

Tickets range in price from £25.00 to £29.50 and are subject to a transaction fee. Stationery printers are a valuable resource and shouldn't be underestimated by those engaged in the promotion of a concert or musical event like this one.

Michael Marcagi's gig has a starting time of 7.00 pm on Saturday, 21 February at The Roundhouse in Camden.
