Irish folk and country artist lists Camden date

The Irish singer-songwriter, Glen Hansard, has embarked on his 2026 UK tour and is due to play a gig in Camden at the end of May.

This multi-instrumentalist, who combines storytelling with strong melodies, hails from Dublin. He began busking in the 1980s aged just 13, and in 1990, was a founding member of the rock group The Frames. They achieved national fame with albums such as 'Burn the Maps' in 2004, and later performed with the likes of Bob Dylan.

In terms of his solo career, Hansard has produced several LPs to critical acclaim, notably the Grammy-nominated 'Didn’t He Ramble' (2015) and 'This Wild Willing' (2019). He has toured worldwide and played to audiences in such renowned venues as The Royal Albert Hall, Radio City and the Sydney Opera House.

Hansard has also collaborated with other well-known artists including Robbie Robertson, and was involved in tributes to both Van Morrison and Joni Mitchell. He still tours with Markéta Irglová, while his album 'All That Was East Is West Of Me Now' came out in 2023.

The support on the Camden date will be provided by Courtney Marie Andrews. Tickets cost £46.24. Flyer printing can be most useful when it comes to the promotion of a concert of musical event like this one.

Glen Hansard's gig has a start time of 7.00 pm on Saturday, 23 May at Roundhouse, Camden.
