Welcome planned for new students at Saskatoon

Many students will soon be starting their classes at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, and an event has been planned that its organizers hope will get them off to a good start.

Campus Orientation Expo 2016 will a day of activities and introduction to the campus for the 3,000 new students who will be attending classes at the institution. Those who will be taking courses in Arts and Sciences, Agriculture and Bioresources, the Edwards School of Business, Education, St. Thomas More College, Kinesiology, or doing their graduate studies and research, will all be able to browse through the displays set up by the different clubs and societies that operate on campus. There will also be presentations and welcomes by representatives of the student union and faculty.

Participants will receive an orientation to the campus, and have a chance to learn more about the different services and programs that are available to them. Some of the university’s schools will also be hosting welcome events specific to those who will be attending classes there. A company that produces ad specialties will be able to create swag and other promotional items that can be distributed during an event such as this.

The Campus Expo Orientation will take place at The Bowl at the University of Saskatchewan on September 2, starting at 8:00 am. Further details and a full schedule can be found on the university’s website.
