Summer is here and anticipation is building in the city for the Saskatoon Ex. The event takes place every year for six days in August and is a popular draw.
The Ex presents some of the best Canadian and international musical acts each year and 2013 is no exception, with scheduled acts including Burton Cummings, The Offspring and Great Big Sea. The exhibition also presents local musical acts and performers on the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Show Stage. The venue will also be hosting the Rise to Fame talent search competition.
Other activities will include chuckwagon races, beer gardens, roving musicians, a ribfest, and an art showcase. Kidsville will also have plenty of activities for the children, including a petting zoo, pony rides, and carnival rides.
A variety of vendors will also be selling their wares during the show and Parks Canada will have an information booth set up. No doubt vendors will be working with Saskatoon printing companies to prepare for the event. This might include investing in services such as sign and banner printing to attract more visitors to their booths, or Brochures to provide take-home information for customers.
The Saskatoon Ex will take place at Prairieland Park from August 6-11. Tickets are $15 for adults, $11 for children aged 11-15, and $8 for children 10 and under who come without an adult, otherwise it is free. Wristbands are $48 for unlimited rides.
