The Summer Players group is holding its 50th anniversary party in Saskatoon on New Year's Eve.
The gala event will feature a cocktail reception, a sit-down dinner, dancing to a DJ and displays consisting of videos and projections about the hosts. A revue performance called ‘Celebrate musical theatre’ is also planned, and will remind guests and former members about the collective's most successful and favorite shows.
An anniversary booklet will be available for purchase and all guests will receive party favors to take part in the countdown to the New Year.
The Summer Players is a volunteer-based musical theatre group, and this gala will also serve as a reunion for past players and patrons. It might also be a great opportunity for those who have thought of joining the group to see exactly what its current members do and to meet some of those who are involved.
The Summer Players has a very limited budget for advertising but might possibly look into using flyer printing services from Print companies in Saskatoon to promote its events. Flyers are inexpensive and can reach large numbers of people in a short space of time; they can be delivered door-to-door or even handed out on the street.
