Saskatoon to see return of summer car show

Hundreds of vehicles will soon be rolling into downtown Saskatoon for an event that has come to be a local tradition.

The Rock 102 Show & Shine Weekend: Downtown Car Show is western Canada's biggest event of its kind, and it will be spread out over 14 city blocks in mid-August. Heritage Car Club registration for the activity started in May, and the organizers are counting on a big turnout.

Public admission to view the vehicles that will be on display is free, and those who attend can meet the owners and find out how they care for their pride and joy. Along with cars, both motorcycles and trucks will be included, and this activity tends to draw people from all across Saskatchewan. The festivities first took place back in 1982, and they have been going strong ever since.
