Saskatoon session to teach soap making

Soap making can be a lot of fun, and those who would like to get started can learn the basics when they take a seat for an upcoming Saskatoon workshop.

Saskatoon Makerspace offers the public an opportunity to pick up a new skill or hobby, and it will be hosting a cold process soap-making class in late summer. It will walk the participants through the process, and everyone can bring along their own essential oils, spices and colours if they wish.

The group will prepare the ingredients and then craft their soap, and the process of curing and de-moulding will be covered. Each participant will go home with a pound of soap they have made themselves, and while they work, safety will be emphasized. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required, and aprons may be useful as well. Everyone is asked to supply their own towel to transport their creation home.

Taking crafting class in late summer gives the public a chance to learn some new skills in time for the winter holiday gift season. Registration Forms, waivers and other business Stationery will all be available for such an event at local Print shops.

The Soap Making class be on offer on August 26th. Everyone who purchases a ticket is asked to be at 209 Avenue D South by no later than 6:00 pm.
