Saskatoon seminar set to help small businesses start and thrive

Starting a new small business can be a daunting task, but an upcoming Saskatoon workshop aims at making the process a lot easier.

‘Start at Square One: A Guide to Launching a Small Business’ will give participants the knowledge they need to start a new enterprise in Saskatchewan. It will include an overview of topics such as developing a business plan, how to perform market research to see if a business idea is feasible, obtaining licenses and permits, how to go about setting up a company structure and then register it, and also which tax laws apply to a small enterprise. Comb binding is an economical choice that can be used to produce informational handouts and other materials for a session such as this.

The seminar will take approximately one hour, and as there are a limited number of seats available, its organizers have recommended that anyone who plans on taking part register as early as possible. The information session is being offered free of charge.

The session will be held on November 15 at Square One: Saskatchewan’s Business Resource Centre, located at 250 - 3rd Ave in Saskatoon. It is scheduled to start at 4:30 pm.

Anyone who would like to register or find out more information can do so through the event’s website.
