Babysitting is a common first job for a lot of young people, and an upcoming Saskatoon workshop will help them to hit the ground running.
Stonebridge Community Association has scheduled a babysitting course, and it will give those who would like to get started with this career by providing techniques and tricks for caring for their charges. It has been noted that the program, which has been developed by the Red Cross will have an emphasis on first aid, and a variety of other topics will be discussed as well.
The curriculum for the classes will cover everything from preventing accidents and safety to tips for caring for a crying child. It will be a co-ed activity, and it is intended for youth from ages 11 to 16. The sessions will be held in person, and they will run on Mondays from February through March. The registration fee has been set at $60, and this includes the cost of materials.
People who participate in learning activities like this often appreciate receiving certificates of completion, and these can be sourced from local Print shops that offer Graphic Design Services.
The Community Service Room at Chief Whitecap School will be the location for the Babysitting Course, and it will begin on February 28th at 6 pm. The final date is scheduled for March 28th.
