Grain industry holds annual show this January in Saskatoon

The Western Canadian Crop Production Show is returning to Saskatoon for four days this January. The theme of this year's show is ‘Growing with you’, and it is expected to attract approximately 18,000 visitors.

There will be over 900 exhibitors on hand, each of which will be showcasing the newest in technology and equipment. There are also set to be youth tours, seminars, and social breaks.

One noteworthy event taking place during the show is the Precision Agriculture Seminar. Professionals such as Tom Wolf, Derek Rude, Dr. Jeff Schoenau, and Dr. Olga Walsh will be talking about the research on how certain technology and tools can be used. Other seminars have topics such as root rot in Canola, and weed resistant management.

While this event is open to professionals in the grain industry, it is also open to the general public. Saskatoon Print companies are often asked to provide advertising materials or printed documents to exhibitors.

The Western Canadian Crop Production Show is being held at Prairieland Park from January 12th to 15th. Admission is $12.50 each day, or $20 for two days. The Precision Agriculture Seminar is taking place on January 14th from 8:30am - 2:00pm and tickets are $50; it includes lunch and coffee breaks. Call 306-931-7149 to find out more about this event.
