The Saskatoon Dragon Boat Festival, presented by FMG, is taking place over two days this July. The event is a fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
All teams have been registered already; those who still want to take part can be added to a waiting list. The event features 45 business and community teams, with 25 members on each. Teams paid a registration fee and members are also expected to solicit pledges from friends, family, or co-workers. There will be various participation prizes to be won, depending on how much money is raised.
In addition to the boat races, there will be food for purchase, live entertainment, and a Family Fun Zone featuring games and hands-on activities. There will also be a flower ceremony and the Paddler's Village, which allows team members to showcase their businesses.
