Festival to kick off the holiday season in Saskatchewan

The Festival of Trees is set to return to Saskatoon in November, with all proceeds from the event going to the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation's Saskatchewan MS Clinical Research Chair Campaign.

The theme of this year's festival is ‘The colours of Christmas’, and there will be more than 75 individually decorated trees and wreaths for sale. There is also a week of special events planned around this display.

A special preview evening will allow people to get an early start on their shopping, and early-bird guests will also enjoy coffee and desserts. This is followed by a gala evening, during which attendees can take part in raffles, a champagne reception, dancing, dinner, and an auction.

Other special events being held during the Festival of Trees include Santa's Breakfast, a Tribute to Elvis, and a 60s cabaret.

Printing companies in Saskatoon may well see an increase in demand as the holiday season approaches. Event organizers often use poster printing as a way of informing members of the public about their celebrations.

The Festival of Trees is taking place at the Western Development Museum from November 24-30. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6.25 for students, and $2.50 for children; a family pass is $20.

The preview evening will take place on November 22 from 7:00-9:00pm; tickets for this are $25. The gala evening is being held on November 23 starting at 5:30pm and ticket prices are $200 each.
