Farmers and others who work in the agricultural sector are invited to be part of a Saskatoon conference that will explore the past, present and future of Canola this July.
Canola, which is formed from the words “Canadian Oil”, is an oil seed that was developed in Canada during the 1970’s.
This year’s Saskatchewan canolaPALOOZA will be hosted by the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s (AAFC) Saskatoon research facility. There is no fee being charged to register, and delegated can buy lunch from one of the food trucks that will be on hand for the day.
A selection of speakers will address attendees during this in-field event, and the full list is scheduled for release at a later date. The benefits of crop rotation, disease identification and prevention, soil fertility, insect control and establishing a crop are just a few of the topics that will be covered, and safety and research will also be discussed.
By bringing together farmers and other in the agricultural sector with researchers, industry experts and government representatives in collaborative environment, an event like this can have a big impact.
