Breast cancer survivors are invited to attend a September symposium in Regina.
The RCMP Heritage Centre will be the venue for an evening that will give women a safe space to learn about reconstruction options, as well as the choice to go without. It is restricted to adults only, and will include a special gathering for survivors themselves.
The Breast Cancer Reconstruction Awareness Event will incorporate both presentations from experts in the field of reconstruction surgery and displays, and everyone can ask whatever questions they might have. They can view real-life results, and all of the stages of the reconstruction process will be up for discussion. The “Show and Tell” lounge will provide an environment where women can share their own stories and surgery results, and information about breast cancer and genetic screening will be in the mix as well. A trade show area will be set up, and food and a cash bar will round out the evening.
The event has been organized by Inpower, which connects women affected by breast cancer in the Regina area. Both not-for-profit groups and businesses alike often choose to use the services of a brochure printing company to supply them with materials to hand out during a fair, expo or trade show.
