Spooky Halloween festival coming to Vaughan

The Screemers festival will be taking place in Vaughan this October, aiming to attract Halloween fans to a grounds full of horror-themed mazes.

The event will feature seven walk-through mazes inspired by the classic “haunted house” idea, all hosted under a 15,000 square foot tent. The mazes will feature visual effects, sounds and over 120 live actors or “haunters”. Each maze features a different theme, including Halloween Horrors, Winter Horrorland and The Darkness. One ticket provides access to all seven mazes, as well as stage shows and other festival areas.

In addition to the mazes, Screemers will feature a Midway of Madness, with carnival-style rides like the Ferris wheel and games given a Halloween twist. The festival grounds will also include a food truck area, with local eateries and chefs represented, and a Vampire Lounge with cocktails and other drinks for adult visitors. Attendees may also catch a glimpse of traveling performers or stage shows with professional props and makeup.

The festival is disability accessible, including four of its mazes, and recommended for visitors aged 10 or older, with Halloween costumes welcome. Seasonal attractions like this often use flyer printing, social media and other targeted advertising to help attract those looking for an adventure.

The 2025 installment of Screemers will be open at Assembly Park in Vaughan from October 10 and 31.
