Come on down for Skate 4 Autism April 21
Strap on the roller skates next Friday, April 21st, for a fun-filled night for the whole family. The Skate 4 Autism fund-raiser will get underway at 5:30 pm at Scooter’s Roller Palace, and will be a two-hour extravaganza of skating, games, face painting and refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for the best spotlight skater and the best limbo dancer, and participants can remember the evening by purchasing a family portrait. All proceeds will go to the Imagine Autism Foundation.
The roller skating party is the first fund-raising event for the Imagine Autism Foundation, a not-for-profit group that operates out of the Autism Therapy & Training Centre in Woodbridge, in the City of Vaughan. The goal of the Foundation is to raise awareness of the early warning signs of autism, and to help families receive the therapy their children need. More information can be found on the Imagine Autism Foundation website.
Tickets for the event are $25 for adults and $18 for children aged 3-12, and can be purchased at the Autism Therapy & Training Centre in Woodbridge, or online. Events like these that raise money for charity benefit greatly from cheap advertising methods such as flyer printing, which can help spread the word quickly, being left in local venues or handed out in the street. Poster printing is another great option.
Take the whole family, a group of friends or that special person in your life, and enjoy a wonderful evening for a worthwhile cause, raising both money and awareness of autism.
