Pantone introduces two new colour guides
Pantone, a leader in the industry, presents two new colour guides; there is one guide for design professionals and one for those new to the design field. These guides are instrumental for companies who specialize in brochure or flyer printing to make sure they are using colours that will make their products stand out.
The Pantone Plus Designer Field Guide contains swatches and tear-out chips for all 1,341 Pantone colours. The swatches and chips are wider than in previous guides. This allows the colours to be directly placed on artwork and designs to make sure it is what the printer wants. There are guides available in coated and uncoated text-weight stock and come with a neoprene carrying case.
The Patone Plus Series Starter Guide is a sampler that includes 543 colours from pastels and neons, premium metallics, classic metallics and solid colours. This guide is perfect for the student who is studying design as well as those who are just starting out in profession.
Both colour guides will be available for purchase on June 30th at Pantone resellers and online. The Designer Field Guide cost $99 or $149 for both uncoated and coated. The Starter Guide costs $49.
You cannot over estimate the importance of colour in printing. For example, a flyer about the Erland Lee Museum in Stoney Creek, ON needs to choose just the right colours; the first view many people get of a business is from that flyer; you want it to catch the eye of people passing by.
