The Stoney Creek branch of the public library will be hosting a coding workshop for children early next month.
Touted as a fun, interactive platform that allows children to turn their original ideas into a gaming reality, the Ozobots simplify coding language and teach robotic equations.
As a new gaming reality, parents and teachers are connecting with the system that advances in difficulty at pace with the child’s learning. The Ozobots are small enough to fit in a pocket, and the growing online community allows children to share their creations with others. The price tag is also attractive to many parents, with starter sets selling at under $100.
Teachers may choose to utilize the award winning Ozobot Classroom Kits that are available to order for all elementary grade levels. The kits are completely stocked for classroom needs and may include Signs that can be put up in the school, as well as catalogs detailing the other resources and supplies that are available.
The free storytelling session will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 2:30 PM. All children with any level of experience with Ozobots are welcome, including beginners and those that have coded before. The Saltfleet Branch located at 131 Gray Road in Stoney Creek will be hosting this event.
Prior registration is not required, and children are invited to drop in. More information is available by contacting the library at 905-662-8611.
