Museum introduces children to the magic of ice and snow

The Science of Ice and Snow event is returning to the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology later this month. It is a great way for families to spend the festive season in the city.

While this event is aimed mainly at children, younger visitors must be accompanied by an adult. Activities taking place include trebuchet snowball throwing, ice shuffleboard games, and sliding contests.

Children will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops which allow them to make snow decorations or snowmen to take home with them. Through everything, however, they will be learning about the science behind the ice and snow they’re all so familiar with.

Parents all over the Hamilton and Stoney Creek areas will no doubt be looking for something for their children to do during the holidays and this might fit the bill for many. To help advertise events such as this, local printing companies are often asked to provide products like Flyers and Brochures to distribute to the community.

The Science of Ice and Snow is being held at the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology from December 27-29 and January 2-5 from 12:00-4:00pm each day. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $6.75 for adults, $5.75 for seniors and students, $4.75 for children between the ages of 6 and 12 and free for children aged 5 and under.
