The St. Catharines area is known for its wine industry, and it will be on full display when the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival returns to the city this September.
Billed as Canada’s largest wine festival, the six-day event showcases every kind of vineyard product. There will be over 100 local wines on display, for sampling and purchase, as well as the best of local food. The music stages will feature 24 hours of tunes across three days, with headliners Vinyl Flux, Jonesy and The Blackstones. There will also be private VIP areas aimed at those searching for an elevated experience, including the Harvest Lounge and private VIP Cabanas. Sunday will be a family-oriented Fun Day with inflatables and craft stations for younger visitors.
The festival also features a number of events outside of the main grounds of Montebello Park. The Grape & Wine Grande Parade and the Pied Piper Parade will run through downtown St. Catharines on consecutive days. The one-night Event in the Tent gala will raise money for local organization Community Care. Festivals like this also offer an opportunity for people in the food and drink industry to network, often exchanging notes and Business Cards.
The 2024 Niagara Grape and Wine Festival will take place in St. Catharines at Montebello Park and other venues from September 27 to 29, with Event in the Tent taking place on the 20th.
