TechNATA career fair returns to Ottawa

This April will see the return of Discover TechNATA, a technology-focused career fair in the Ottawa region.

The event is sponsored by the Kanata North Business Association, and boasts having over 2,600 attendees and 90 employers. The event will see local tech companies’ putting their latest products on display just as much as potential employees. The ultimate goal of the event is to build Kanata and the greater Ottawa region’s reputation as a tech hub.

Exhibitors will include well-known international brands such as Nokia, Ford and Huawei, as well as local start-ups. Local educational institutions like Carleton University and Algonquin College will also have a presence.

While the work involved may be high-tech, job-seekers will likely be using time-tested tools like resumés and Business Cards from nearby printing services. Investors and media members are also invited to the all-day event.

For companies, the event is an opportunity to build a reputation and find the specialized talent they need to continue to grow. Organizers describe it as:

“A Tech Expo and Talent Hunt career fair that provides the facilities to network with industry professionals, display the latest technology, and discover new job opportunities for attendants. The event spotlights the vibrancy and growth of our local tech sector and provides a landscape for job seekers to meet and discover some of the best companies in town looking for talent.”

Discover TechNATA will take place on April 2 at the Brookstreet Hotel.
