The festival will feature dozens of vendors offering authentic street food tastes from Tokyo to Delhi. Past editions have included food vendors like King of Sugarcane Juice, Naiko Frozen Yogurt Bricks, and Banh Mi Yes. Halal and vegetarian options will be available. The marketplace will also include arts and crafts vendors, community exhibitions, and more.
The Night Market is designed to mimic traditional Asian marketplaces, with all vendors taking cash. There will also be a line-up of live performers representing Asian music and dance ranging from K-Pop to traditional Chinese dragon dance and drumming. This will be the 12th annual edition of the festival.
Past editions of the festival have been held on Sparks Street and other locations across the nation’s capital. Cultural markets like this often use banner printing and music to help set the stage. Organizers also host events such as the Chinese New Year Festival and Moon Festival throughout the year. Advertising for the event promises:
“With all the unique sights, tastes and sounds… it’s like being transported to a night market hundred of miles away in Asia without leaving Ottawa!”
The 2026 Ottawa Asian Fest Night Market will take place from May 29 to 31 at Lebreton Flats.
