Ottawa trivia game to benefit mental health

This November, Family Services Ottawa will be bringing back its “Music On a Mission” fundraiser event, challenging participants to show off their music knowledge.

The fundraising event features trivia questions and knowledge challenges, including a “name that tune” competition where contestants compete to be the first to name the artist and name popular songs, with theme songs from TV and music added into the mix. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favourite singers or get even more creative and try to embody a particular song. The competition is the centrepiece of a charity gala that includes food and drinks, a silent auction, a raffle and other prizes, all raising funds for Family Services Ottawa.

Donations for the event will be matched by Giant Tiger Ottawa. Money raised will go towards Family Services Ottawa’s efforts to offer counselling and mental health services to parents in the National Capital Region. People can participate as parts of teams of up to 10, whether with friends or co-workers. Charitable events like this are often popular for networking, with Business Cards and contact information changing hands, in addition to making up a major part of the fundraising efforts of non-profit organizations.

The 2022 edition of Music On a Mission will take place on November 17 at 1315 Prince of Wales Drive in Ottawa.
