Ottawa make-and-take to be all about beauty

When it comes to skincare, ingredients sourced from the natural world can often prove to be both gentle and effective, and an Ottawa workshop will provide a guided exploration of recipes crafted from these materials.

Body butter and lotion are two of the products that will be prepared during the Young Living session, and the participants will all be making their own batch of scrub, lotion, and body butter. At the end of the class, they will each be going home with a set of the three body care basics to either keep for themselves or give to a friend.

All of the ingredients – including plant butters, carrier oils and essential oils, honey coconut salt and oatmeal – will be provided, and while they work, the students will have an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of using these natural products. The workshop will be facilitated by Sam from Nature’s Best, and the registration fee is $40 each.

This class is being brought to Ottawa through the efforts of 613 DIY Night, which is a local organization that brings people together to learn new skills in a fun and engaging environment. Leaflets that have been prepared by a flyer printing company can be placed throughout the community to let them know that this sort of event is taking place in their area.

The date for this beauty-themed make-and-take has been set as December 1. Its venue can be found at 57 Cresthaven Drive.
