The Ottawa Dressage Festival will be taking place in the national capital this spring, bringing together top competitors and fans of the equestrian arts.
A combination of sport and art, dressage sees horses and their riders perform a series of predetermined movements. The Ottawa Festival will host competitions at a number of different levels, including the National or Gold Show, Rising Stars, and the Pony Cup. There will also be a Para Dressage competition for riders with physical disabilities.
The top finishers will qualify for the National Dressage & Para Dressage Championships, to be hosted in Bécancour, Quebec. The competition is hosted by the National Capital Dressage organization, with the support of local volunteers and sponsors.
The festival will also be a part of the 2025 Ontario Equestrian Young Dressage Horse Development series, which involves classes and competitions to develop the next generation of competitors. For spectators, there will be a selection of boutiques and vendors offering goods for horse riders and enthusiasts. There will also be social and food events like The Jog Party, Pizza Party, and a Cocktail Reception. Specialist sporting events like this often use tools like flyer printing and social media to help draw in local fans and curious spectators.
The 2025 Ottawa Dressage Festival will take place from May 29 to June 1 at Wesley Clover Parks.
