The Pirate Life experience will be holding its annual Pirate Fest this July, inviting Ottawa families to take part in a number of high seas-themed activities.
The event will kick off with a Toddler Time activity, led by Jesse Kahat, who runs the NAC’s weekly Toddler Tuesdays program. Following this activity will be an assortment of pirate-themed games and a “Picnic with a Pirate” lunch event. Activities in the afternoon include a costume contest and photoshoot, a sword fighting demonstrations, and a pirate-themed puppet show. The day’s festivities end with a “Pirate Scavengarrrr Hunt”, finding treasures scattered across the event grounds. There will also be ongoing events such as face-painting, temporary tattoos, flag-making, and song and games.
The goal of the festival is to present a full day of activities for children and families. There will be booths and vendors representing the National Capital Region community. Merchants at events like this often offer special themed Promotional Products or sales to commemorate the occasion. The festival also aims to draw attention to the Pirate Life experience, which hosts groups and parties in addition to running escape rooms, murder mysteries, and other events. Similar festivals are hosted on the same day at Pirate Life events in Barrie, Hamilton and Toronto.
The 2025 Pirate Festival will take place on July 5 at Pirate Life in Ottawa, with admission free to all.
