Nelson House is an Ottawa institution that provides a safe refuge for those feeling domestic violence. To help it in its work, it has organized a fundraiser that will mark International Women's Day, and it will feature a popular band from the Ottawa area.
Band Together for Nelson House will be celebrating its third year, and guests can get into the swing of things when they hit the dance floor to tunes from the 60s all the way up to the 80s. There will be a variety of gourmet nibbles served, and these will be lovingly prepared by Anna Russel of Royal Le Page Performance Realty.
The occasion will have a festive atmosphere, and a cash bar service will be offered for anyone who would like to purchase a drink. There will be free parking. Tickets will be $25.00 each.
The entertainment for the occasion will be provided by ‘The Verdict’ which is a group of local lawyers who are also talented musicians. A festive banner can provide the ideal backdrop for a function like this, and a banner printing shop will have lots of options to choose from.
The event to help families touched by domestic abuse will be held on March 29th. It will be taking place in Ottawa at Julian of Norwich Anglican Church.
