The Escapade Music Festival will be headed to downtown Ottawa this month, boasting a full weekend of electronic music.
Escapade will take place over three days, with three stages of DJs and musical artists performing throughout the weekend. The Friday concert will feature some of the biggest names, including prolific house music producer Deadmau5 and ATLiens. The all-day Saturday show includes acts such as Said the Sky, Seven Lions, Soundwaves, Ben Willo and DJ Snake. The weekend will conclude with artists including Excision, Martin Garrix and Malaa. The festival debuted in 2010, also headlined by Deadmau5, and has grown from a one-day Byward Market event to a celebration that has attracted tens of thousands of people.
This year’s event will mark the return of Escapade after a two-year absence, with the festival looking to come back bigger than ever. Ticket holders from the cancelled 2020 and 2021 festivals will have their purchases carried over to this year.
Escapade is produced and hosted by Midway Group. Music festivals such as these typically include food and drink trucks and other vendors, and often use tools such as poster printing and local radio promotion to attract local fans of a particular musical genre.
The 2022 edition of the Escapade Music Festival will take place between June 24 and 26 at Lansdowne Place.
