Rising alternative rock group July Talk will be making a return to live touring in Ottawa this November.
The concert, dubbed “Live at Last”, will be the start of the band’s first regular tour since the start of the pandemic, although the group has previously played one-off outdoor shows in towns and cities from Timmins to Fredericton. The tour will see July Talk traveling to Quebec City and Montreal before a second date in Ottawa, before moving on to performances throughout Ontario and Western Canada, wrapping up in Victoria just before Christmas. The group has also announced a tour of Germany next spring.
Songs from July Talk’s three studio albums will be performed, with the most recent release being 2020’s Pray for It. The group’s live shows have a reputation for being rowdy and explosive, with fans across the world. This popularity has led to the success of singles like “Push + Pull” and “Picturing Love”.
The performance will require proof of vaccination for entry, in line with province-wide guidelines. This year has marked a gradual return to the road for musicians in all genres, using promotional methods like banner printing and radio advertising to let fans know that they are back.
July Talk is scheduled to perform at the Bronson Centre in Ottawa on November 28, with a return date that Wednesday on December 1.
