Annual music festival will heat up the summer

The RBC Bluesfest is returning to Ottawa for 11 days next month.

The festival is set to feature some of the best performers from Canada and around the world. This year’s confirmed artists include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Colin Linden , Danny Albert, The Cult and Archer. Other performances will be given by the All-Star Blues Review and the Youth Ottawa Showcase.

There will be plenty of places to enjoy the music, including the Molson Party Central viewing platform and the Banquet Saloon. The RBC Someday Zone will have carnival rides and games, there will be dancing at the Casino and many of the performers will be making appearances at the autograph tent.

There will also be a silent auction with proceeds going to ‘Blues in the Schools’, a 50/50 raffle and a poster exhibit at the Canadian War Museum. In addition, there is set to be a Youth Art display for those aged 22 and under.

Organizers have likely worked with Ottawa printing companies to create a poster to advertise this popular annual event.

The RBC Bluesfest will be held at Lebreton Flats from July 7 to 17. A full festival pass is $231 and individual days start at $51.50; VIP passes are also available. To learn more about the festival and this year’s performers, call 613-247-1188.
