The 8th annual Women in Business Conference is taking place next month in Ottawa. Affiliated with Eastern Ontario Women in Finance, proceeds from the event will be donated to Suits Me.
This event
is an important networking and educational conference for women who work in all industries. The host for the day will be Sandra Tisiot and confirmed speakers include Brenda Halloran, Odette Laurie, and Susan Stewart. A new aspect of this year's conference and one that will be included in future events is the WIBC 10. This is a 10-minute talk by a guest on a number of subjects; this year it will be given by Mia St. Aubin who is a strength and conditioning coach.
Lunch will also be served and there will be plenty of time to discuss business with peers.
Suits Me is a program of the Royal Mental Health Centre. It provides professional clothing to women who can't afford their own, and also provides educational bursaries.
No doubt many Ottawa-area Print companies will see an increase in business card printing orders leading up to this event as it is a key event for networking.
