It seems that voter turnout is declining with every election. In order to have a strong democracy, we all have to take part in the election process. However, with people’s lives becoming busier and busier they often can’t take time out of their busy schedules in order to go home and vote in our own district. The next Richmond general local and school election takes place on November 19. For this election the city is hoping to raise voter turnouts by making it easier for voters to vote anywhere in the city, not just in their own riding. Each voting place will be denoted with informational Brochures, direction arrows and a large poster; printing of this material will be handled by local printing services in Richmond.
In the next Richmond election, Mayor Malcolm Broadie is up for re-election; voters also will be choosing 8 city councillors and 7 school trustees. Anyone over 18, who is a Canadian citizen and who has lived in Richmond for at least 6-months is eligible to vote in this election. The city will be opening new polling stations in high traffic areas of the city such as the Richmond Cultural Centre in order to make it easier for voters; these extra polling stations will also be open during 5 advanced voting days. In addition, people will be able to vote at whichever polling station is the most convenient for them.
Elections are an excellent opportunity for local Print shops to help with poster printing. Voters appreciate prominent signage and clear instructions on how to vote, in order to make it count.Get a Free Quote for Brochures Get a Free Quote for Print
