An upcoming Edmonton event will celebrate poetry and the richness that it can bring to everyday life, but in order to be a success, it will need people to lend a helping hand.
The Edmonton Poetry Festival will feature a schedule of different events throughout the city. There will be readings by writers, music, exhibitions of film, dance, and photography combined with the written word, and presentations of unique combinations of poems with science and technology, spiritual pursuits, and politics.
In order to help the event take place, a variety of volunteers will be needed, and a call has been put out to members of the public who would like to help. According to festival organizers, their main goal will be to work with the staff to provide an environment that allows them to engage with their audiences. Many different skill sets are required, so there is a position to suit just about anyone.
To thank the volunteers for their generosity, several perks have been devised. Each will receive special “swag”, either free or discounted admission to the various events, and even a “kiss” from Bella the bulldog, who is the festival’s unofficial mascot. Items that say ‘thank you’ at events like this can be created by companies that design and produce branded Corporate Gifts.
Anyone who would be interested in lending a hand at this year’s Edmonton Poetry Festival, which will take place from April 17 to the 24, is invited to visit the event website.Get a Free Quote for Corporate Gifts
