New stadium possible for city of Edmonton

Poster printing companies in Edmonton, Alberta, may see the results of a trickle-up effect in new business coming their way if the Edmonton Oilers get a new stadium. The new stadium, which already has the support of both the Edmonton Oilers owner Daryl Katz and the NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, will also be used for other events besides hockey games. Talking to reporters just this past Saturday in the city of Edmonton, Bettman reiterated statements of support for such a new building that he had already made in the recent past. His enthusiasm for such a stadium centered around the fact that Edmonton needs a new venue if it does not want to be ignored by all the passing events, concerts, and other highlights that tour from stadium to stadium.

Bettman said that the Oilers’ current building is somewhat of an eyesore because of its being outdated. He is also sure that it is a matter of inevitability that the Oilers will eventually move out of their current, old building.

To date, the Oilers’ owner, Katz, has already pledged $100 million of his own money for not just a new stadium, but also the cost of developing the surrounding commercial and retail area around the Oilers’ stadium.

A new stadium will attract more people to the Edmonton area for events and the like. This same influx will also provide more prospective clients to poster printing companies in Edmonton, clients who are looking to take advantage of poster printing services.
