New designer clothing retailer on the way for Edmonton

Saks Fifth Avenue OFF5th recently made the announcement that it plans on opening a new location in Edmonton within a year.

The store, which will be located in the Skyview Power Centre, will set up shop in the space formerly occupied by Home Outfitters. Renovations will be undertaken to convert the 30,000 square feet into a format that is suitable for needs of its new occupant.

President of Saks OFF5TH and Gilt, Alan MacKenzie, remarked that the company views the Skyview Power Centre as an ideal place to open one of its stores, as there is a strong market in the area for this type of retailer. The store will offer a variety of designer clothing, footwear, and accessories for both women and men from over 800 brands. It will be in season, with new merchandise, including one-of-a-kind pieces, arriving on a daily basis. A business that provides printing services will be able to supply new stores like this with all of the printed materials that it needs to get off to a successful start.

The Skyview Power Centre currently has a variety of retail tenants, as well as food service providers and stores that specialize in home furnishings and décor. It is located on 137th Ave. The plan is for the new Saks OFF5TH to be open sometime in spring of 2017.
