A new Canadian Tire store, which will be the biggest in the whole of Canada, recently open its doors at South Edmonton Common.
The location, which has been referred to by the retailer’s management as a showcase store, covers over 140,000 square feet and has two floors full of the type of products that people have come to associate with this chain, plus more.
Along with these, it will also reportedly have the very latest in high-tech merchandising, promotional methods and displays. It has more than 100 digital screens, interactive electronics and even a driving simulator, which has been designed to help customers choose the tires that are best for them.
There is also a virtual deck, where people can try out different yard and patio products to design their own unique look, with 3D goggles are available so that they can do a virtual walkthrough of their garden space.
The aisles of the store have been designed to be wider than the ones that are traditionally found in this style of retail establishment, making it more “shopper friendly”. Its vehicle repair area also has been designed to have the newest in repair and diagnostic technology. A flyer printing firm can produce advertisements that let people in the city and surrounding area know what makes the store special.
This new location is already open for business, with the official grand opening having been scheduled for June 11th.
