An announcement was made recently that will be of interest to those travelling from Edmonton to Europe.
The Royal Dutch Airline ( KLM) revealed that, starting this coming spring, it will be adding a direct flight from Edmonton to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, thus creating a direct link to Europe. It is scheduled to fly year round on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with Fridays being added for the summer schedule. The flight will use an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which has seats for as many as 243 passengers as well as plenty of cargo space for freight.
According to KLM, part of the reason it added this flight was because of the city’s strong economy. In turn, the city welcomed this new link, as it’s felt it will be good for tourism and the rest of the economy as well. It will make it easier for people to travel to and from Europe, Africa and the Middle East on business, and also for tourists to visit the city. Since the plane will also be able to carry cargo, it will be of benefit to those who need to either ship items overseas or have them shipped in.
An announcement like this can be exciting to the local business community, and a brochure printing company can create promotional packages that contain all the pertinent information for distribution to anyone who needs it.
