The City of Edmonton will play host to the Canadian National College Finals Rodeo (CNCFR) at the end of March and in early April of this year. There will be three excitement-filled days to this event which is to be held on March 31, April 1 and April 2.

The rodeo is designated as an extracurricular activity, so it does not interfere with their studies, and the students who participate do much to drum up as much supports as they can for the Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association and the CNCFR.
In addition to the six main rodeo events, participants will also compete in Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Pole Bending and Goat Tying.
Prior to the CNCFR, contestants take part in up to six rodeos that are run by students themselves, many of whom compete in more than one rodeo event. The athletes come from post-secondary schools across the country, and the competitions are held during the school year.
